The Sagra dell'Assunta di Anconetta is the festival that enlivens the Anconetta district in Vicenza every mid-August. Linked to the feast of the Assumption of Mary (August 15th), it takes place at the football field on Via Anconetta 147 and retains its religious origins: during the festival, the church of Anconetta remains open with moments of prayer.

The heart of the festival is the rich gastronomic stand, open every evening, offering first courses, main courses, sandwiches, cold dishes, skewers, and – above all – the renowned Frittella di Anconetta, a specialty that gives the sagra its identity. There is also a well-stocked cocktail bar.

The evenings are accompanied by live music and orchestras, while among the initiatives, «CantiAnconetta» stands out, featuring tastings of excellent DOC wines. The Sagra dell'Assunta di Anconetta is a regular fixture of Ferragosto in Vicenza: in 2026 it will once again liven up the Anconetta district with a week of festivities around the feast of the Assumption. Currently, the official dates for 2026 have not yet been published; traditionally, the sagra takes place in mid-August, at the football field on Via Anconetta 147.
