The Alpini festival in Malpaga

The Sagra Alpina di Malpaga is one of the most beloved summer events in Cavernago, a municipality in the lower Bergamo region in the Province of Bergamo. Organized by the local Gruppo Alpini (Alpini Group), the festival takes place at the festival area in Via Marconi, in the village of Malpaga, and represents a moment of celebration and solidarity that bears the unmistakable mark of the 'penne nere'.

Cuisine, music, and brass bands

The festival's program combines traditional alpine gastronomy with music and conviviality. Under the marquee, guests can enjoy mountain and regional dishes, while the evenings are enlivened by live music and performances by alpine brass bands, such as the one from Azzano San Paolo, whose notes mark the most traditional moments of the festival. A genuine and familiar atmosphere, in true alpine style.

The festival takes place a short walk from the Castello di Malpaga, one of Lombardy's most fascinating historic residences, linked to the figure of the condottiero Bartolomeo Colleoni.
