Edition 2025 — Sagne Festival

The 2025 edition of the Sagne "co j'aju pistatu" Festival took place on Sunday, November 16, in Piazza Candida Brancaccio, San Gregorio da Sassola. Organized by the ASD Gregoriana with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of the Pro Loco, it offered a complete menu from 11:30 AM for 15 euros, featuring sagne with crushed garlic, veal stew, bread with new oil, water, and wine, amidst traditional music and a festive atmosphere.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, San Gregorio da Sassola celebrated one of the most beloved gastronomic traditions of the Prenestini territory. From 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the stands set up in Piazza Candida Brancaccio served sagne "co j'aju pistatu" — homemade pasta tossed with crushed garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and a pinch of pepper — accompanied by veal stew, bread with freshly pressed new oil, water, and wine, with a gluten-free option for celiacs.

The full menu, offered at 15 euros, attracted visitors from Rome and neighboring towns to the village. The day, enlivened by traditional music, was organized by the ASD Gregoriana with the patronage of the Municipality of San Gregorio da Sassola and the participation of the Pro Loco, confirming the vitality of the associative fabric of this small village in the Monti Prenestini, in the province of Rome.
