A night of art, music, and wonder in the village of Matrice
RUVART is the festival that for one night transforms the historic center of Matrice (province of Campobasso, Molise) into an immersive path of art and performance. Promoted by the RUVA Association, led by Francesca Di Corpo, with the involvement of local artists, associations, and volunteers, the event enhances the historical and cultural heritage of the village, making its alleys and squares the stage for an evening unlike any other.
The festival unfolds along an itinerary that crosses the village and involves three symbolic locations: Largo Graziani, with folk music and poetry; Piazza Annienz Cort, where the castle steps serve as a backdrop for aerial performances and DJ sets; and Piazza della Vittoria, the realm of dance and fire. Walking from one square to another, you'll encounter walls repainted by street artists, photographic exhibitions, digital projections, and installations that change the face of the village.
Alongside the performances, RUVART offers a rich program of artistic languages: street art by Croma, A_mo Illustrator, and Diego De Camillis, the "Peace and Love" yarn bombing by the Aracne Academy, photographic and contemporary art exhibitions, board and role-playing games for those who want to experience the festival at a slower pace. There are also food & drink areas with the authentic flavors of Molise, making RUVART a celebration to be enjoyed until late at night.
For one night, Matrice becomes a small open-air cultural district, where art leaves the museums and becomes a community gathering. It's the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic village in the Molise hinterland and breathe in the energy of a place that tells its story through creativity.
