About RUVART

RUVART transforms the historic center of Matrice, a small village in Molise a few kilometers from Campobasso, into an immersive journey where the streets become open-air galleries. For one evening, street art, live music, aerial dance, fire, poetry, photography, and digital installations animate the alleys and squares of the village. A sensory journey curated by the RUVA Association, which intertwines contemporary creativity and the identity of the Molise village in a single night of widespread celebration, with free admission and suitable for all ages.

A Village That Lights Up with Art

RUVART is the festival that for one night transforms the historic center of Matrice (province of Campobasso, Molise) into an immersive path of art and performance. Promoted by the RUVA Association, led by Francesca Di Corpo, with the involvement of local artists, associations, and volunteers, the event enhances the historical and cultural heritage of the village, making its alleys and squares the stage for an evening unlike any other.

Three Squares, Many Souls

The festival unfolds along an itinerary that crosses the village and involves three symbolic locations: Largo Graziani, with folk music and poetry; Piazza Annienz Cort, where the castle steps serve as a backdrop for aerial performances and DJ sets; and Piazza della Vittoria, the realm of dance and fire. Walking from one square to another, you'll encounter walls repainted by street artists, photographic exhibitions, digital projections, and installations that change the face of the village.

Widespread Art and Local Flavors

Alongside the performances, RUVART offers a rich program of artistic languages: street art by Croma, A_mo Illustrator, and Diego De Camillis, the "Peace and Love" yarn bombing by the Aracne Academy, photographic and contemporary art exhibitions, board and role-playing games for those who want to experience the festival at a slower pace. There are also food & drink areas with the authentic flavors of Molise, making RUVART a celebration to be enjoyed until late at night.

Why It's Worth the Trip

For one night, Matrice becomes a small open-air cultural district, where art leaves the museums and becomes a community gathering. It's the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic village in the Molise hinterland and breathe in the energy of a place that tells its story through creativity.

RUVART โ€” edition 2026

The 2026 edition of RUVART lights up the historic center of Matrice with a program spread across three squares: folk music and poetry at Largo Graziani, aerial dance and DJ sets at Piazza Annienz Cort, dance and fire performances at Piazza della Vittoria. Street art, photographic exhibitions, digital projections, and food areas complete the night.

The 2026 edition of RUVART transforms the village of Matrice into an immersive journey that blends art, music, performance, and gastronomy. From the afternoon, the Associazione SottoMonte offers board and role-playing games, while along the alleys, works by street artists Croma, A_mo Illustrator, and Diego De Camillis take shape, along with the "Peace and Love" yarn bombing by the Aracne Academy. Three squares host evening performances, with replays designed to allow the audience to follow the entire program.
