The international exchange exhibition for collectible watches in the heart of Rome
Founded in 2024, Roma Tempus Fugit has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated collectible watch exchange exhibitions in Central Italy. The event brings to Rome, in the Aurelio district just a stone's throw from St. Peter's, an international gathering of exhibitors, dealers, and collectors who spend an entire day animating the halls with showcases of timepieces from every era.
This is not just a simple display: here, the public can buy, sell, and trade directly with exhibitors. The range spans from the great names of Swiss high horology to vintage wristwatches, from period chronographs to rare pieces, and even time-measuring instruments that tell over a century of mechanical history. For the collector, it is an opportunity to find that missing piece; for the novice, it is a chance to connect with a world made of details, gears, and passion.
Since its first edition, which in June 2024 brought together 45 exhibitors and over five hundred visitors, the event has adopted the format of a gathering for guardians of time: professionals and collectors who share knowledge, stories, and a passion for horology. One edition was even held at the Fiera di Roma in conjunction with "Motori Capitale," pairing vintage cars with collectible timepieces. The common thread remains the same: bringing face-to-face meetings back to the center stage, in an era where trading happens increasingly only online.
Roma Tempus Fugit is rooted in the city's great watchmaking tradition. The event is linked to the memory of Mattia Mastrolorenzi, a historic Roman master watchmaker who passed away in November 2024, whose family—active in the Prati district since the 1920s—even crafted the papal ring for Pius XII. A heritage of craftsmanship and culture that the event aims to preserve and pass on.
The event is held in Rome (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio), at the Belstay Hotel Roma Aurelia, over a single intense day. Admission is paid, and tickets can be purchased online. An unmissable event for those who love watches, collecting, and the culture of time.
The fourth edition of Roma Tempus Fugit, the international watch exchange exhibition, took place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Rome, in the Aurelio district, confirming the formula that led to the event's success: an entire day dedicated to watch collecting, meetings between enthusiasts, and the direct buying and selling of period and wrist timepieces.
Throughout the day, the halls host exhibitor stands: vintage wristwatches, period chronographs, collectible timepieces, and rare pieces. The public can buy, sell, and trade directly with merchants and collectors from all over Italy and abroad, as well as consult with industry experts. The event is organized by Tommaso Moro with artistic direction by Mirko Lazzarini.
The exhibition takes place at the Belstay Hotel Roma Aurelia, at Via Bogliasco 35, in the Aurelio district of Rome (ZIP 00165). The area is served by Via Aurelia and is easily accessible by car; nearby, there are city bus stops connecting the district to the city center and St. Peter's station.
Admission is paid. Tickets can be purchased online through the organization's official channels.
