The major Roman exhibition of minerals, fossils, gems, and shells at the Ergife Palace Hotel
The Roma Mineral Show is one of Italy's premier events dedicated to minerals, fossils, gems, and shells. Every year in late November, the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome, located in the Aurelio district along the Via Aurelia, transforms into a major meeting point for collectors, scholars, and enthusiasts from all over Italy and abroad. The exhibition is organized by the Gruppo Mineralogico Romano, a historic association active since 1979.
Covering an area of over 3,000 square meters, exhibitors present crystals, rare minerals, gems, fossils, and shells from every corner of the world. Beyond the exhibition and market area, the Roma Mineral Show dedicates significant space to scientific outreach: thematic displays, information hubs on geology, paleontology, and speleology, and collaborations with prestigious institutions make the event far more than just a collector's fair.
A hallmark of the event is its rich program of lectures held by researchers and industry experts, covering topics related to mineralogy, geology, and natural sciences. There are also educational workshops, curated by the Earth Science Departments of Roman universities, featuring activities designed for both adults and children, allowing them to explore the world of minerals in a practical and engaging way.
Reaching its 46th edition in 2026, the Roma Mineral Show is now a staple of the autumn calendar for the City of Rome and the entire Lazio region. Its location at the Ergife Palace Hotel, easily accessible from the Grande Raccordo Anulare and well-served by public transport, makes it an event open to a wide audience. Under the patronage of the City of Rome and major scientific institutions, the exhibition bridges the passion for natural history collecting with scientific culture in one of the world's most visited cities.
The Roma Mineral Show 2026 reaches its 46th edition, scheduled for Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29, 2026, at the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome.
