Opera singing in Ripabottoni
Ripainlirica is the International Opera Singing Competition "Premio Cappuccilli" held annually in early August in Ripabottoni (CB). The festival was established in 2018 as a tribute to the great Verdi baritone Piero Cappuccilli, one of the most celebrated interpreters of the 20th century and a friend of Luciano Pavarotti, whose family origins are linked to this village in Lower Molise.
Auditions and final evening
The competition attracts young opera singers from all over the world, who perform over several days of auditions before a qualified jury. The highlight is the final evening, with the award ceremony for the winners, hosted in the evocative setting of Palazzo Cappuccilli. The artistic direction is curated in collaboration with the Piero Cappuccilli Foundation.

Ripainlirica has transformed Ripabottoni into a small but recognized stage for opera music, capable of combining the promotion of the Molise territory with the nurturing of young bel canto talents, in the name of one of the most beloved Verdi voices of all time.

In 2026 too, Ripabottoni (CB) will host Ripainlirica, the International Opera Singing Competition Premio Cappuccilli, expected in early August. The format with multiple audition days and the final evening at Palazzo Cappuccilli, open to young opera singers from around the world, is confirmed.
