About Borgo in Festa
A festival among the village alleys
Borgo in Festa is the flagship summer event of the Pro Loco of Petrella Tifernina, a municipality in inland Molise in the province of Campobasso. The event enlivens the historic centre, transforming it into a gastronomic and musical itinerary that showcases the territory, its products, and local talents.
Wine and typical products
The heart of the festival is the tasting: along the route, you will find stalls from local wineries — up to eight producers in recent editions — and from typical Molise products. It is an opportunity to discover wines and flavours linked to the culinary heritage of the town, which the Pro Loco continues to recover and share.
Music and atmosphere
Accompanying the tastings are live music and DJ sets, featuring local groups like Recu'cce. Now in its twelfth edition in 2024, Borgo in Festa has established itself as one of the key events that project Petrella Tifernina beyond regional borders, promoting slow tourism and the enhancement of the village.
Borgo in Festa — edition 2026
For the 2026 edition, the Pro Loco of Petrella Tifernina is bringing back Borgo in Festa, now a well-established summer event in Molise. The format remains the popular one: tastings of wines from local wineries and typical products along the route in the historic centre, accompanied by music and DJ sets. The exact date will be communicated by the Pro Loco.
Programme Borgo in Festa 2026
The program and date for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Pro Loco of Petrella Tifernina in the weeks preceding the event. Usual evening structure:
- Opening of tasting stalls (local wineries and typical products) in the historic centre, usually from 8:00 PM
- Gastronomic route through the village alleys
- Live music and DJ sets
