The chocolate parade and the ice party of the Ambrosian Carnival
The Rho Carnival transforms the city centerโMunicipality in the Province of Milanโinto a colorful celebration dedicated to children and families. The heart of the event is the Chocoparade, a traveling parade that combines Carnival with the world of chocolate, in collaboration with Eurochocolate.
The Chocoparade is a scenic procession animated by the Creative Academy: a scenic machine that spreads jazz music, an aerial dancer, and the Choco Car that cross Piazza San Vittore and the city streets, while costumed figures distribute chocolate to the public. A traveling show that attracts young and old along the streets of Rho.
Alongside the parade, the Rho Carnival offers the ice party in Piazza Visconti, with an ice rink, entertainment, and prizes for the most beautiful costumes. The rink remains open in the following days, extending the fun well beyond Carnival weekend.
Rho follows the calendar of the Ambrosian Carnival, the Milanese tradition that extends the celebrations compared to the Roman Carnival: the party indeed continues into the days following Fat Tuesday. An opportunity to experience the Carnival spirit in a Lombard style, with further shows and initiatives in the city center.
The 2026 edition of the Rho Carnival enlivens the city center on February 14th and 15th. Saturday the 14th, from 4:00 PM, the Chocoparade by Accademia Creativa with Eurochocolate crosses Piazza San Vittore and the city streets: a scenic machine playing jazz music, an aerial dancer, and chocolate distribution.
Sunday the 15th, from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM, the ice party takes place in Piazza Visconti, with skating, entertainment, and prizes for the best costumes. The rink remains open in the following days, until February 22nd, in the spirit of the Ambrosian Carnival.
