Return to the Middle Ages

19th edition, October 4 and 5, 2025

In 2025, Return to the Middle Ages returned to the historic center of Cassano Irpino, in the province of Avellino, for its nineteenth edition. Saturday was dedicated to the opening of taverns, artisans, and merchants, Count Ruggiero's encampment, and, in the evening, shows in honor of the noblewoman Gubitosa, amidst light displays and historical narration.

Sunday had a more family-oriented focus, with free visits to the village springs, a treasure hunt, medieval activities for children, and the highly anticipated afternoon falconry show. The day concluded with the historical pageant in period costume and the castle fire, scheduled for 10:30 PM.

The 2025 edition also coincided with a stop for the Irpinia Express historic train, which brought visitors from Avellino to the 'Village of Springs' along the line to Rocchetta Sant'Antonio.
