The Feast of Re Ambrogio
The Re Ambrogio Carnival is the great carnival festival of Manerbio (Province of Brescia), a center of the Bassa bresciana. The event takes its name from its symbolic mask, Re Ambrogio, and is part of the traveling circuit of the Carnevale dei Colli, which between January and March passes through numerous municipalities in the provinces of Brescia and Mantua.
Floats and Masks
The heart of the festival is the grand parade of floats and masked groups that crosses the town center. Elaborate choreographies, colorful costumes, and music transform the streets of Manerbio into an open-air show, with particular attention to the involvement of children. The media partner of the event is Radio Bruno.

Re Ambrogio Carnival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Re Ambrogio Carnival takes place on Sunday, March 8, with the parade starting from the former Marzotto parking lot at 2:30 PM. Floats, masked groups, and music liven up the center of Manerbio in what is one of the stops on the Carnevale dei Colli circuit. In case of bad weather, the event is postponed to March 21.

How to get there
Manerbio is located in the Bassa bresciana, along the Via Emilia, reachable by car and train (Brescia–Cremona line). The parade starts from the former Marzotto parking lot and crosses the center.
