Edition 2025 — Radici Future

The first edition of Radici Future took place on August 9-10, 2025, in Piazza Milite Ignoto in Santa Lucia del Mela, starting at 8:30 PM. Two evenings of talks, cooking shows, and free tastings highlighted native grape varieties, the black sheep of the Valle del Mela, cheeses, cured meats, and traditional sweets. During the event, the village was awarded the title of Guardian of Territorial Identity and joined the Borghi Genius Loci De.Co. network.

Radici Future 2025

The first edition of Radici Future was held on August 9 and 10, 2025, in Piazza Milite Ignoto in Santa Lucia del Mela, starting at 8:30 PM. The program alternated between talks on native grape varieties and local products, live preparation of ricotta by the Valle del Mela Consortium, and free tastings of cheeses, cured meats, and traditional local sweets.

Local chefs and members of the Messina Chefs Association took to the stage alongside Michelin-starred chefs Giuseppe Costa and Alessandro Ingiulla, presenting signature dishes based on local ingredients. The second evening featured the presentation of the Guardian of Territorial Identity title to the mayor and the village's entry into the Borghi Genius Loci De.Co. network, alongside traditional songs and local folk groups.

Saturday, August 9: talks on native grape varieties, the black sheep of the Valle del Mela, and local products; live ricotta preparation; cooking shows and tastings of cheeses and cured meats. Sunday, August 10: Borgo Genius Loci De.Co. conference and presentation of the Guardian of Territorial Identity title; talk on the Mediterranean diet; traditional songs, cooking shows by Michelin-starred chefs Giuseppe Costa and Alessandro Ingiulla, tastings, and folk music.
