An exhibition path dedicated to mythological, historical, and symbolic female figures, created with innovative languages and materials such as 3D printing, resin, and liquid ceramic. Open from December 19, 2025, to January 29, 2026.

The Strong Women in Karmil Cardone's Art

"Queens and Warriors" is the solo exhibition by artist Karmil Cardone hosted at the Civic Gallery of Palazzo Loffredo, in the heart of Potenza. The exhibition explores the presence of mythological, historical, and symbolic female figures in contemporary art, investigating the concept of the duality of opposites: grace and strength, fragility and power.

The works embody characters such as "Astrid" of Norway, "Teruko" of Japan, "Giovanna" with Gothic inspiration, and "Alessandra" with visionary and stylized features, in a narrative that spans different eras and cultures, united by the theme of heroic femininity.

Innovative Materials and Languages

Karmil Cardone's figurative-expressive research is distinguished by the use of innovative tools and materials: 3D printing, resin, and liquid ceramic. Born in Potenza in 1985 and a graduate in Art and Theatre History, the artist combines contemporary aesthetic languages with experimental techniques, creating works with a strong visual impact.

The exhibition, curated by the Sefora Cardone ETS Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Potenza, is part of the exhibition calendar of the Civic Gallery, one of the most important art spaces in the capital of Basilicata.

An Opportunity for the City

Set in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Loffredo, "Queens and Warriors" represents a significant event for the public of Potenza and the Province of Potenza, and an opportunity to discover an artistic research that dialogues with tradition and innovates it with contemporary tools.
