A festival rooted in the popular soul of Quadraro

The Quadraro Summer Festival is a free summer event that brings life to Parco di Via Columella 51 for over a month. Located in the heart of Quadraro, one of Rome's most iconic and resilient neighborhoods, the festival was born around the BquadroPub and grew thanks to the artistic direction of Music Village and the La Vetrina collective. The festival has made accessibility and a deep connection to the local area its hallmark: a program that combines concerts, cinema, theater, readings, and visual arts without sacrificing the conviviality of a neighborhood square.

One evening, one unique language

The formula that has made the event so recognizable is its thematic weekly calendar. Each evening is dedicated to a specific artistic language, allowing the public to return multiple times and discover something new every time:

• Cinema under the stars, with screenings and discussions;
• Theater and entertainment, featuring comedy monologues, cabaret, readings, and musical theater, with spaces designed for children;
• Live music on weekends, featuring young artists from the La Vetrina collective;
• Folk music exploring the history of various genres, from rock'n'roll and funk to traditional Roman songs;
• Evenings dedicated to the memory and history of the district, including screenings and storytelling.

The Quadraro district: between memory and street art

Quadraro is no ordinary neighborhood: in April 1944, it was the site of a brutal Nazi raid, earning it the Gold Medal for Civil Valor and the nickname "nest of wasps." Today, that memory coexists with a creative, popular spirit defined by workshops, murals, and the famous urban art project that has turned its streets into an open-air gallery. The festival captures this dual identity and presents it in a contemporary key, bringing culture out of traditional venues and into the life of the neighborhood.

A model of accessible culture

The Quadraro Summer Festival is designed as a cultural hub for Municipality VII and, more broadly, for the southeast suburbs of Rome in the Lazio region. Admission is strictly free, and food and drink prices within the venue are kept affordable to uphold the event's popular and inclusive mission. It is a summer of community, where music, cinema, and theater become an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to connect.
