Edition 2025 — Puccia Festival

On September 14, 2025, Santa Cesarea Terme hosted the Puccia Festival, celebrating one of Salento's most beloved baked goods. The event featured the Salento puccia in numerous variations, from grilled vegetables with local cheese to meat in tomato sauce, from tuna with tomato and capers to vegetarian and spicy versions. The day was enlivened by live folk music, pizzica salentina performances, entertainment for all ages, and stalls dedicated to local crafts, all set against the evocative backdrop of the Adriatic coast.

Puccia Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Puccia Festival took place on September 14, 2025, in Santa Cesarea Terme, in the Province of Lecce. The absolute star was the puccia, a soft Salento sandwich baked in a wood-fired oven and filled with genuine local ingredients.

Visitors were able to taste the puccia in many variations: with grilled vegetables and local cheese, with meat in tomato sauce, with tuna, tomato, and capers, with turnip greens and oil-preserved eggplant, as well as vegetarian and spicy options. The tasting was accompanied by live folk music and pizzica salentina performances, with entertainment for families and spaces dedicated to local crafts. A season finale filled with authentic flavors and Salento traditions on the Adriatic coast.
