The Prose Season takes place at the Academic Theatre of Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso, an eighteenth-century jewel overlooking Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, within the city walls. It is one of the most evocative Italian-style theatres in the Veneto region.
A programme of great prose
The festival, organized by the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto together with Arteven – Regional Theatre Circuit of Veneto, offers a season rich in performances ranging from great classics to contemporary drama, as well as dance and authorial comedy. The programme is divided into two subscription periods.

Prose Season — edition 2026
The 2025/2026 Prose Season at the Academic Theatre of Castelfranco Veneto includes 11 performances divided into two subscription series (A and B), from November 2025 to April 2026, organized by the Municipality with Arteven.
The programme opens on November 27 and 28, 2025, with "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" (Francesco Pannofino, Francesco Acquaroli, Paolo Sassanelli) and continues in 2026 with highly anticipated titles, from the comedy of Gianfelice Imparato to a revisited Goldoni, through to the dance of the Opus Ballet Company and the grand finale with Lella Costa in "Lysistrata".

The Academic Theatre is located at Via Giuseppe Garibaldi 4, in the historic centre of Castelfranco Veneto, reachable by train (Venice–Trento and Padua–Bassano lines) and by car via the SR53.
