Summer taste festival in the hamlet of Schiavonia d'Este
The Prosciutto and Melon and Mixed Fry Festival is the summer festival of the hamlet of Schiavonia, in Este, in the province of Padua. A culinary event that each year draws residents from the village and surrounding towns to a food stand open every evening.
The stars are the traditional summer Venetian dishes: prosciutto and melon, gramigna pasta with sausage, mixed fried dishes, and other local specialties. The cuisine, prepared by local volunteers, accompanies evenings of live music and dancing in a popular and family-friendly atmosphere.
Like many festivals in the lower Padua region, the Schiavonia festival is above all an opportunity for the local community to gather, transforming a small hamlet into a summer meeting point thanks to the work of volunteers.
The return of Schiavonia's summer festival is expected in 2026. The event, recurring annually, features a food stand with Venetian specialties and evenings of music and dancing. The exact date for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
Detailed program coming soon. Based on recent editions, the event will include a food stand open every evening with prosciutto and melon, gramigna pasta with sausage, mixed fried dishes, and typical Venetian cuisine, along with evenings of live music and dancing.
Schiavonia is a hamlet of Este, reachable by car from the main road; Este can be reached from the A13 motorway (Monselice exit) and by train.
Free admission; food and drinks at the food stand are paid. Open in the evenings.
