PrimaVera in Festa is the event that in Roncade, in the province of Treviso, opens the beautiful season with two Sundays in March dedicated to traditions, crafts, and local products. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Roncade and enlivens the town's historic center.
Roncade Verdon Radicchio
The first Sunday is dedicated to Roncade Verdon Radicchio, a prized variety of spring chicory typical of the Treviso area, with a crunchy texture and delicate flavor, hand-picked between March and April. A market exhibition celebrates this vegetable along with Piave red wines in the "Rosso in Strada" initiative: there are award ceremonies for producers, tastings of radicchio dishes prepared by local chefs, and exhibitions of vintage cars and motorcycles.
The Historic Craft Fair
The second Sunday hosts the Craft Fair, a historic event operating since 1860: about a hundred exhibitors line Via Roma and the side streets, featuring crafts, folklore, games, food and wine, exhibitions, and culture, with refreshment stands dedicated to typical products and entertainment for all ages.

How to get there
Roncade is located in the lower Treviso area, along the SR89 Treviso-mare road. By car, it is well connected from Treviso and Venice; Roncade train station is on the Treviso-Portogruaro line. The events take place in the historic center, along Via Roma.
