A Season of Theatre, Music, and Cinema
The Politeama Franco Moschini in Tolentino, Macerata province, is one of the most vibrant cultural institutions in the Marche region. Its Artistic Season, directed by Massimo Zenobi, curates a multidisciplinary program each year that combines drama, concerts, and auteur cinema, with the stated goal of making the theatre a space for culture, entertainment, and inclusion. Management is entrusted to the Fondazione Franco Moschini, named after the entrepreneur and patron who linked his name to the venue's revival.
Prose Theatre with Big Names
The theatre section is the heart of the Season, bringing actors known to the general public through film and television to the stage on Corso Garibaldi. Alongside prose performances, there are evenings of comedy and one-woman shows, balancing serious productions with lighter offerings designed for a broad and diverse audience.
The Master Piano Festival
One of the Season's musical pillars is the Master Piano Festival, an event that showcases young pianists who have won major international competitions, supporting their artistic development. This is a deliberate choice by the Politeama, which has long supported emerging piano talents alongside established performers.
The Millimetri Series: Cinema, Design, and Architecture
Through the Millimetri series, the Politeama explores the relationship between cinema, design, and architecture. Documentaries, feature films, and short films are presented with introductory talks and dialogues featuring guests, in a program that also introduces younger audiences to the world of design through dedicated workshops.
A Year-Round Cultural Hub
The Politeama is more than just a theatre; it's a cultural anchor that thrives daily, hosting classes for the Liceo Coreutico (dance high school) in the mornings, and dance, singing, and acting courses in the afternoons. It also features exhibitions, book launches, and inclusive theatre projects like Tutti INscena. In a Marche town affected by the 2016 earthquake, this programming signifies tangible vitality and a new beginning for Tolentino and the entire Macerata province.

The 2025/2026 Artistic Season of the Politeama Franco Moschini in Tolentino, directed by Massimo Zenobi, presented a program of theatre, music, and cinema from November 2025 to April 2026. The drama section featured stars like Luca Ward, Barbara Foria, and Massimo Ghini, while the Master Piano Festival hosted talented young pianists. The Millimetri series explored the intersection of cinema, design, and architecture, and the Tutti INscena project continued its focus on inclusive theatre. Two new subscription options were introduced: for the Artistic Season and the Millimetri series.

- March 15, 2026, 6:00 PM — Massimo Ghini in "Noi Giuda" (We Judas), written and directed by Angelo Longoni, music by Paolo Vivaldi (production Il Parioli – Teatro Parioli Costanzo). Closing performance of the theatre section.

- March 7, 2026 — "Metropolis" with live soundtrack by Roberta Sammarelli (Verdena), Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours), Karim Qqru (The Zen Circus), and Corrado Nuccini (Giardini di Mirò)
- March 29, 2026 — "The Brutalist"
- April 19, 2026 — short films by Michelangelo Antonioni
Special Projects
Tutti INscena (third edition): free inclusive theatre workshop for people with disabilities, with sessions from November 2025 to May 2026 and a final performance open to the public. Also, the "Design4kids" event for schools, introducing children to design through screenings and workshops.

Getting Here
By car: Take the Tolentino exit from the SS77 Val di Chienti highway, connecting Civitanova Marche to Foligno. Tolentino train station is on the Civitanova Marche–Albacina line. Nearest airport: Ancona-Falconara, about an hour's drive away.
