Plast and Xylexpo are leading international professional trade fairs in the manufacturing sector. They are held in Rho, in the province of Milan, in the pavilions of Fiera Milano Rho, and in 2026 they will take place simultaneously as part of the MaTec initiative.
Two complementary trade fairs
The 2026 edition marks the debut of MaTec, the project that brings together three Italian manufacturing trade fairs:
- Plast — the international exhibition for plastics and rubber
- Xylexpo — the biennial dedicated to technologies for wood and furniture processing
- Composites Future — the new event dedicated to composite materials
An integrated platform
MaTec offers an integrated platform with eight halls and three complementary trade fairs, designed to bring together the entire production chain. The synergy between complementary sectors creates valuable networking opportunities between exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.
A reference event
For decades, Plast has been a global benchmark for the plastics and rubber industry: the 2023 edition featured over 50,000 square meters, 38,000 visitors, and 1,323 exhibitors, almost half of whom were international. Together with Xylexpo, it confirms Milan and Lombardy as the Italian capital of industrial manufacturing.
Plast / Xylexpo — edition 2026
The 2026 edition is confirmed from Tuesday, June 9 to Friday, June 12, 2026 in the pavilions of Fiera Milano Rho. For the first time, Plast and Xylexpo will be held simultaneously as part of the MaTec initiative, which debuts by also bringing together the new Composites Future trade fair dedicated to composite materials.
MaTec offers an integrated platform with eight halls and three complementary trade fairs, where the entire production chain can meet. Plast remains dedicated to plastics and rubber, while Xylexpo presents technologies for wood and furniture processing.
