BI-MU

The heart of Italian mechanics

BI-MU is the most important Italian exhibition dedicated to machine tools, robots, and digital manufacturing. The event takes place at Fiera Milano Rho, in the Municipality of Rho in the Province of Milan, every two years, and is organized by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE together with EFIM. It is the reference showcase for a sector, that of machine tools, which represents one of the excellences of Italian industry.

70 years of technology

The 35th edition in 2026 celebrates an important milestone: 70 years of history for the exhibition and the machine tool sector. An anniversary that testifies to BI-MU's central role in the country's industrial development and in narrating manufacturing innovation.

Thematic areas

The exhibition is organized into numerous thematic areas dedicated to the most advanced technologies: metal cutting and forming machines, additive manufacturing, robotics (with the RobotHeart area), digitalization (BI-MU Digital), metrology, and testing. Among the new features, the BI-MU FUTURETECH AWARD, an award for the most innovative manufacturing solutions.

An event for professionals

BI-MU is aimed at a highly qualified professional audience, directly involved in purchasing decisions in the sector. Italian and international exhibitors present Industry 4.0 enabling technologies in Rho, making the exhibition a privileged observatory on industrial production trends.
