The Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy is a devotional event that connects Lissone and Vedano al Lambro, two municipalities in the Province of Monza and Brianza. It takes place at the end of the Marian month of May, traditionally dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and is presented as an evening prayer walk towards the sanctuary.
Walking with the Rosary
The gathering point is in front of the Church of San Giuseppe Artigiano in Lissone; from here, the faithful set off in procession towards the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy in Vedano al Lambro, reciting the Holy Rosary along the way. The walk is led by the Provost of the community, Don Marco Lodovici, who also presides over the concluding celebration. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, the pilgrimage concludes with Holy Mass and a festive gathering that brings participants together.
