A piano at the heart of the city

Piano Square transforms Piazza Visconti, in the heart of Rho (Metropolitan City of Milan), into a large open-air stage dedicated to the piano. The event is part of the Piano City Milano circuit, the widespread festival that brings piano music to unusual locations in the metropolis and its hinterland.

Over forty pianists in alternation

The heart of the event is a true musical marathon: over forty pianists take turns on an amplified grand piano, in a program ranging from classical music to jazz, from pop to film scores. The event is particularly dedicated to local talents—musicians who live, study, or work in Rho and surrounding municipalities—with the stated goal of maximum inclusivity: space for performers of all ages and levels, from children to amateurs to professionals.

Culture and community

Artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Martino Tosi. The idea behind Piano Square is simple and powerful: to celebrate piano culture as a shared heritage, capable of uniting different generations and animating the city center with energy and sparkling notes. A day when music becomes an occasion for celebration and meeting for the entire Rho community.
