In the hamlet of Badiola, a few kilometers from Marsciano (province of Perugia), the Perugina-style Cod Festival is one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the Umbrian summer. Also known as Badiola nel Verde, the event reaches its 33rd edition in 2026, confirming itself as a village festival capable of attracting visitors from all over Umbria.
Perugina-style cod, the absolute star
The heart of the festival is the cod prepared according to the traditional Perugina recipe. In the food stands, you'll find fried cod, Perugina-style cod, and stewed cod meatballs, as well as gnocchi and ravioli with cod cream. Umbrian specialties like sausages, steaks, and the ever-present 'torte al testo' (flatbreads) are also available. Service is at the table, with over 500 seats and ample parking available.
Music, dancing, and fun for everyone
Every evening, the festival offers different musical performances: tributes, live concerts, DJ sets, and dancing nights with orchestras. There is also space for sports and motors, with the Badiola nel Verde running race and the vintage car and motorcycle rally. A large area is dedicated to children with inflatables, creative games, face painting, and a retro gaming station.

How to get there
Badiola is located in the municipality of Marsciano (PG), easily reachable by car from the E45 (Marsciano exit) and from the state road connecting Perugia to Todi. Ample parking is available near the festival grounds.
