About Per sempre Gabriella Ferri

«Per sempre Gabriella Ferri» is a widespread festival that lights up the historic center of Corchiano, a village in the Viterbo Tuscia region where the great voice of Roman song passed away in 2004. Over several evenings, amidst alleys, squares, and views of the tuff gorges, folk music, Roman songs, historical dance, and open-air theater pay tribute to an iconic artist of Rome. Free admission, food stalls, and performances under the stars create an embrace of memory, tradition, and village celebration.

A choral tribute to Gabriella Ferri

Per sempre Gabriella Ferri is the festival that the Municipality of Corchiano, in the Province of Viterbo (Lazio), dedicates to the memory of Gabriella Ferri, the unforgettable interpreter of Roman songs who passed away in Corchiano in 2004. The event transforms the small village in the Tuscia region into an open-air theater, where squares, alleys, and scenic viewpoints over the deep tuff gorges become the natural stage for a popular and heartfelt tribute.

A widespread festival in the heart of the village

The format is that of a widespread festival: performances are not concentrated in a single location but are distributed throughout the historic center of Corchiano, inviting the public to walk through the most charming corners of the town. Each evening weaves together different genres and languages, all linked by the common thread of the Roman spirit of which Gabriella Ferri was an iconic voice: Roman and folk songs, singer-songwriter music, historical dance, storytelling, and street theater.

Music, storytelling, and tradition

The program alternates concerts, tributes, and storytelling moments that capture the ironic, melancholic, and deeply poetic soul of the artist. Alongside the music, there is space for folk traditions and the conviviality typical of a village festival, with the Corchiano community playing a leading role in the organization alongside local associations.

  • Folk music and Roman songs, the heart of the tribute to Gabriella Ferri
  • Historical dance and itinerant performances through the village streets
  • Storytelling and open-air theater in the squares of the historic center
  • Food stalls featuring the flavors of the Viterbo Tuscia region

Corchiano and the Tuscia region

Perched on a tuff spur surrounded by the famous gorges, Corchiano preserves a historic center of great charm in the Viterbo countryside. This very landscape, so beloved by Gabriella Ferri, provides the ideal setting for a festival that combines memory, identity, and regional promotion, attracting visitors and fans of the great Roman musical tradition every year.

Free admission

The event offers free admission: the evenings begin in the early evening with the opening of food stalls and continue with performances, in a festive atmosphere that involves the entire village until late at night.
