In Pavone del Mella, a small municipality in the Bassa Bresciana area of the province of Brescia, the Patronal Feast of Saint Benedict merges with the Spring Festival, a tradition that will celebrate its thirtieth edition in 2026. For three days, the village gathers around the church square, amidst religious rites, typical flavors, and community moments.

Three days of taverns and tradition

The festival opens on Friday with "From tavern to tavern", a food and wine trail dedicated to local specialties. On Saturday afternoon, there's a puppet show for the little ones, followed in the evening by the solemn mass in honor of the patron saint. Sunday marks the peak of the festival: solemn mass of Saint Benedict, inauguration, the traditional Alpini lunch, and a gastronomic competition that brings traditional flavors to the square.

Flavors of the Bassa: casonsèi and pagnòch

The absolute stars are the typical dishes: the casonsèi and pagnòch festival — the Brescia ravioli and the characteristic local bread — enlivens the church square with stands and stalls. To complete the day, the vintage car and motorcycle exhibition, an event eagerly awaited by enthusiasts and curious visitors.
