The Patron Saint and the Village Festival
The Patronal Feast of Saint Ambrose is the most cherished event in Vanzaghello, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan. Organized by the Parish of Saint Ambrose, it intertwines liturgical moments with four days of festivities that animate the oratory and Piazza Sant'Ambrogio in the heart of the village.
The Luganiga Sausage Festival
The gastronomic theme is the Luganiga Sausage & Street Food Festival, dedicated to the typical Lombard sausage, open on all days of the feast. Around the food stalls, there is a vintage car rally, inflatables and play areas for children, charity stands, and craftspeople, as well as a Ferris wheel that operates throughout the event.
Tradition and Spectacle
The religious part includes the solemn mass and the Marian procession, while the evenings feature memorable concerts by the Vanzaghello Band and a drone show combined with fireworks. It is a festival that unites the entire community of Vanzaghello, in the province of Milan, through faith, tradition, and conviviality.
Patronal Vanzaghello — edition 2026
For 2026, the Patronal Feast of Saint Ambrose will animate Vanzaghello from May 30 to June 2. The program alternates the Luganiga Sausage & Street Food Festival, active throughout the days at the oratory, with religious and entertainment events. Highlights include the vintage car rally in Piazza Sant'Ambrogio, the solemn mass with the inauguration of the new portico, the Marian procession, concerts by the Vanzaghello Band, and the drone show. A Ferris wheel will be operational for the entire duration of the festival.

Sunday, May 31
