Guided walk and visit to the historic hamlet and the bioenergetic garden of Castel di Lama
The Paths of Art and Culture are a recurring event promoted by the Circolo Acli Oscar Romero of Castel di Lama, designed to combine outdoor physical activity with the discovery of the historical and landscape heritage of the area. The initiative offers a free guided walk of about four kilometers round trip, accessible to everyone, which leads to the Seghetti Panichi Historic Hamlet, one of the most evocative residences in the Municipality of Castel di Lama, in the Province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region.
The complex is organized around an ancient medieval fortress, transformed into a country house in the 18th century, and includes the San Pancrazio Residence, some buildings built between the 17th and 19th centuries along the ancient castle walls, and an oratory from 1608 that houses precious frescoes attributed to the school of Biagio Miniera.
The true heart of the visit is the historic park, created between 1875 and 1890 by the German botanist and architect Ludwig Winter. Extending over several hectares, it hosts rare species and monumental trees and is today recognized as the first example of a bioenergetic garden in Europe: a place where the aesthetic dimension intertwines with that of well-being and personal care.
Sportswear, comfortable shoes, and a bottle of water are recommended. Participation is free but limited: mandatory reservation is required.
The event is the result of collaboration between the Circolo Acli Oscar Romero, the Città delle Stelle Shopping Center, and U.S. Acli Marche, with the aim of promoting healthy lifestyles, social interaction, and the enhancement of the cultural heritage of the Castel di Lama area and the entire Piceno region. The walks are repeated throughout the year, visiting different destinations in the Province of Ascoli Piceno each time.
For the event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, the meeting was set for 9:00 AM at the main entrance of the Città delle Stelle Shopping Center in Ascoli Piceno. The group walked approximately four kilometers round trip to the Seghetti Panichi Historic Hamlet in Castel di Lama.
On-site, a free guided tour took place of the historic residence, the 1608 oratory, and the bioenergetic park created by Ludwig Winter between 1875 and 1890. The initiative, organized by Circolo Acli Oscar Romero together with the Città delle Stelle Shopping Center and U.S. Acli Marche, was free to attend with mandatory reservation (maximum 35 participants) by May 14.
The meeting is scheduled for the morning. The destination is the Seghetti Panichi Historic Hamlet, Via San Pancrazio 1, Castel di Lama (AP). Some editions involve meeting directly at the hamlet, others at the Città delle Stelle Shopping Center in Ascoli Piceno, with a walk to the residence.
By car: take the Ascoli Piceno exit from the A14, then the Ascoli-Mare link road towards Castel di Lama. By train: Ascoli Piceno station, then local connections. Castel di Lama is a few kilometers from the provincial capital.
Free participation with mandatory reservation via message to +39 393 9365509 (indicating name and surname). Limited places. Sportswear, comfortable shoes, and water are recommended.
