A tradition spanning centuries
The Pasqua Bastidese is one of the oldest and longest-running fairs in Oltrepò Pavese: it takes place in Bastida Pancarana, in the province of Pavia, on Easter weekend. With over 170 years of history, it is an event deeply rooted in the identity of the Bastida community.
Between fair, sport, and tradition
The festival spans two days. Easter Sunday is dedicated to the CorriBastida running race, the funfair, sports tournaments, and art exhibitions. Easter Monday is the day of the big fair, with the exhibition of vintage vehicles, tractors, and agricultural machinery, the market, and entertainment for the community.
The Pesciolata and the flavors of the festival
The most anticipated moment is the Pesciolata, the free distribution of fried fish that has drawn visitors from all over Oltrepò for decades, accompanied by mulled wine and sweets. Organized by the Pro Loco Bastida Pancarana, the Pasqua Bastidese combines the religious dimension of Easter with the popular dimension of the fair, in one of the most cherished festivals in the Pavia area.

The 175th Pasqua Bastidese
The 175th edition of Pasqua Bastidese will be held in Bastida Pancarana on April 5 and 6, 2026, confirming one of the longest-standing traditions in Oltrepò Pavese.
Sunday, April 5, will kick off with the 6th CorriBastida (running race, start at 7:45 AM), the funfair, and a charity raffle starting at 10:30 AM, followed by sports tournaments in the afternoon and the inauguration of an art exhibition. Monday, April 6, will feature the official inauguration of the 175th Easter Fair at 10:00 AM, the exhibition of vintage vehicles, tractors, and agricultural machinery, the market, entertainment for children, and at 3:30 PM, the 64th Pesciolata with free distribution of fried fish, theatrical performances, mulled wine, and sweets until the evening closing.
