The late August festival in the hamlet of Maras
The Panoiot Festival is the traditional celebration of the hamlet of Maras, in the Municipality of Sospirolo (province of Belluno), linked to the feast day of San Bartolomeo (August 24th). For a few days at the end of August, the small community transforms into a lively stage for games, food, and music, organized by the San Bartolomeo Committee.
The food stand, open in the evenings from 7 PM, mainly offers a fish menu โ from lasagna with shrimp and zucchini to mixed fried fish โ alongside traditional local dishes, with evenings of entertainment and music. The program alternates different moments: evenings with DJs and live music, a guided walk on the trails of the Sospirolese foothills (in collaboration with the Mountain Study Center and walking groups), and the "Il Panoiot in Vespa" event with the Vespa Club Belluno.
The festival is not just about celebration: some initiatives, such as the evening walk dedicated to the memory of the Great War in the hamlet of Maras, intertwine conviviality with the rediscovery of local history. It is a fine example of how the festivals in the hamlets of Valbelluna manage to combine gastronomy, nature, memory, and social interaction, also enhancing the smaller villages in the municipality of Sospirolo.
In 2026, the hamlet of Maras in Sospirolo will once again host its Panoiot Festival, linked to the feast of San Bartolomeo. The established format includes the food stand with a fish menu (open in the evenings from 7 PM), musical evenings with DJs and live bands, a guided walk on the Sospirolese foothills trails, and the "Il Panoiot in Vespa" event. The exact date (around August 24th) will be confirmed by the San Bartolomeo Committee closer to the event.
Detailed program coming soon: it will be announced by the San Bartolomeo Committee of Maras in the weeks before the festival. The established format includes six days of celebration with: a fish-based food stand (lasagna with shrimp and zucchini, mixed fried fish) open in the evenings from 7 PM; musical evenings with DJs and live music; a guided walk on the Sospirolese foothills trails (in collaboration with the Mountain Study Center); the "Il Panoiot in Vespa" event with the Vespa Club Belluno; and initiatives dedicated to the memory of the Great War.
The fish menu, the guided walk on the Sospirolese foothills, and the "Il Panoiot in Vespa" gathering.
