The Padova Marathon is the official marathon of Padua, one of the most important running events in the Veneto region. Every year, on a Sunday in April, it attracts thousands of participants who run through the city and its surrounding municipalities, starting from the Euganeo Stadium and finishing in the spectacular Prato della Valle, the city's iconic oval square.

The event offers multiple formats to suit every level: the marathon over the classic distance of 42.195 km, the half marathon of 21.097 km, and the non-competitive city runs of 10, 5, and 1 km, open to families, children, and walkers. A formula that transforms the race into a popular festival, capable of uniting the competitiveness of marathon runners with the fun for those who simply want to experience the city at their own pace.
Sport, City, and Tradition
Organized by Assindustria Sport in collaboration with the University of Padua, the Padova Marathon is also an opportunity to discover the city: the route passes through urban landscapes and crosses the municipalities of the hinterland, while the finish in Prato della Valle offers runners one of the most beautiful finishes in Italian running. The day coincides with the "ecological Sunday," with the historic center closed to traffic and given back to runners and walkers.

The XXVI edition of the Padova Marathon takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, starting from the Euganeo Stadium and finishing in Prato della Valle. The marathon route, certified by AIMS measurer Stefano Bassan, runs through Padua and the municipalities of the urban belt, with a slight detour into Rubano territory due to work on the new tram line.
The day coincides with the "ecological Sunday," with traffic restrictions in the historic center from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
