The Osimo Carnival Festival is the event that, on the day of Fat Tuesday, brings children and families together indoors, sheltered from the February cold, inside the PalaBaldinelli, the sports hall that for an afternoon transforms into a large party space. Confetti, streamers, masks, and costumes liven up a simple and popular event, designed to give Osimo families a moment of shared joy.

A City Tradition

In Osimo—the city of the "headless" and a thousand wells, perched on the hill overlooking the Musone valley in the province of Ancona—the Carnival at PalaBaldinelli has been the reference festival for children for years. Historically linked to the commitment of local volunteers, the event has entered the official calendar of events promoted by the Municipality of Osimo, which has overseen its organization, bringing the festival inside the largest covered facility in the city.

What to Expect

The afternoon is built around children's entertainment: games, music, group dances, shows, and lots of masked fun. There are also typical Carnival sweets, from fritters to chiacchiere, and an invitation to come in costume to participate in the great collective celebration. It is an event designed to be accessible to all, with free admission, which closes the Osimo Carnival period in a atmosphere of colour and lightness.
