The 2025 Orapi Festival
The 2025 edition of the Orapi Festival took place on Saturday, July 26, starting at 7:30 PM, in Piazza F.lli Virgilio in Villetta Barrea, in the province of L'Aquila. The Pro Loco Villetta Barrea enlivened the evening with typical dishes based on orapi, the wild mountain spinach, prepared according to recipes handed down by the village women: peasant soups, omelets, rustic stuffed focaccias, and handmade fresh pasta. The program also included folk music, photo exhibitions, and guided walks in search of wild herbs in the surroundings of the village. The festival confirmed itself as an identity celebration that combines gastronomy, nature, and tradition in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
