About Oliveri Expo

Every summer, from late July through August, the Oliveri Sports Field transforms into the beating heart of Sicily's largest regional fair. Oliveri Expo brings together over a hundred stands dedicated to craftsmanship, food and wine, fashion, design, and tourism, open every evening until late at night with free admission. Founded in 2006 by the D'Amico family, the event is an unmissable appointment for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who flock to this corner of the Messina Tyrrhenian coast every year, nestled between the Marinello Lakes reserve and the sea.

A fair that tells the story of Sicily

Oliveri Expo – Regional Fair is the largest commercial and cultural fair of the Sicilian summer, hosted annually at the Oliveri Sports Field, a small town in the Province of Messina overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and guardian of the evocative Marinello Lakes nature reserve. Spanning an exhibition area of approximately 8,000 square meters, the fair turns the coastal village into a lively showcase where tradition meets commerce, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange.

The history: twenty years of growth

The event was born in 2006 from the intuition of the D'Amico family and, edition after edition, has grown to become a benchmark for the entire north-east of Sicily. The 2025 edition celebrated its twentieth anniversary with record-breaking attendance, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors over the course of the month. The organizers' philosophy, summarized by Giusy D'Amico, goes beyond simple sales: «not just selling, but telling stories, inspiring emotions, and bringing people together».

What to find at the fair

Oliveri Expo hosts over 100 exhibition stands from all over Sicily and numerous countries across the Mediterranean and Europe. The selection is broad and carefully curated, with a special focus on artisanal production, short supply chains, and local excellence:

  • Typical food and wine: zero-kilometer preserves, Nebrodi honey, Etna herbal liqueurs and bitters, dairy products, and traditional sweets
  • Craftsmanship and artistic trades: bespoke creations, ceramics, textiles, and decorative objects
  • Fashion, design, and home decor with items often impossible to find elsewhere
  • Agri-food sector and tourism and leisure companies
  • An ethnic section that promotes cultural encounter and exchange, in line with Sicily's historical vocation as a crossroads of civilizations

Evening atmosphere

The fair comes alive in the evening: stands open daily from 7:00 PM until 1:00 AM, when the sea breeze makes strolling among the exhibitors pleasant. Alongside commerce, there are refreshment areas, tastings, live demonstrations, and cultural and musical events that animate the evenings, making Oliveri Expo much more than just a market: an experience that weaves together flavors, popular traditions, and the folklore of the Messina territory.

Oliveri and its surroundings

Visiting the fair is also the perfect opportunity to discover Oliveri and its coastline: the beach, the village, and the famous Marinello Lakes reserve, at the foot of the Tindari sanctuary, make this stretch of the Province of Messina one of the most beloved destinations of the Sicilian summer.

Oliveri Expo — edition 2026

Oliveri Expo returns in the summer of 2026 for its 21st edition, scheduled from July 25 to August 31 at the Oliveri Sports Field. Once again, Sicily's largest regional fair will feature over a hundred stands of crafts, food and wine, fashion, and design, with evening openings and free admission. The detailed program of cultural and musical events will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the inauguration.

The 2026 edition of Oliveri Expo, the twenty-first of the event, is expected at the Oliveri Sports Field from July 25 to August 31. As per tradition, the fair will open every evening with over a hundred exhibitors dedicated to crafts, local products, fashion, and tourism, with free admission and many evenings of entertainment. The complete program of cultural and musical events will be communicated by the organizers closer to the opening date.
