Edition 2025 — Carnival Bean Festival

In 2025, during the Carnival period, the tradition of the fagiolata continued to thrive in Occhieppo Superiore and the towns of the Biella area, faithful to a centuries-old custom. The fagiolata, a dish based on beans cooked for a long time in large cauldrons and distributed to the community, remains one of the most cherished gastronomic rituals of the Piedmontese Carnival, enlivened by local associations and the Fishermen's Association at their lake on Via Opifici Negro.

Carnival 2025

In 2025 as well, the Carnival bean festival confirmed its role as a living tradition in Occhieppo Superiore, in the province of Biella. The preparation and distribution of the typical bean dish have represented a highly anticipated winter event in the Biella area for generations, capable of bringing residents and visitors together around the steaming cauldrons.

This continuity served as a prelude to the 2026 edition, hosted as per tradition at the Fishermen's Association Lake, the convivial heart of the town's community life, in the heart of Piedmont.
