Open-air cinema on the Tiber in the Marconi district

In the summer of 2026, the Parco d'affaccio fluviale Marconi, located along Lungotevere di Pietra Papa, transforms into a grand open-air cinema arena for the very first time. Notti di Cinema at Parco Tevere Marconi is the new outdoor film festival enlivening summer evenings in Rome's Municipio XI. Located in the heart of the Marconi district, it offers the best of Italian and international cinema under the stars, just a stone's throw from the river.

Program and guests

From July 9 to August 29, 2026, the park's screen will showcase major arthouse and blockbuster titles, including La Grazia by Paolo Sorrentino, Le cose non dette by Gabriele Muccino, Cinque secondi by Paolo Virzì, Amarga Navidad by Pedro Almodóvar, Hamnet by Chloé Zhao, Project Hail Mary, and The Devil Wears Prada 2, alongside documentaries such as Giulio Regeni – Tutto il male del mondo.

Several evenings will be enriched by meetings with directors and actors. Announced guests include Rocco Papaleo with Il bene comune, Monica Guerritore with Anna, Massimiliano Bruno with 2 cuori e 2 capanne, and Daniele Vicari with Ammazzare stanca. The schedule is further enhanced by book presentations and cultural discussions.

Cinema Revolution and tickets

The festival participates in Cinema Revolution, a campaign by the Ministry of Culture that allows audiences to watch Italian and European films for the special price of €3.50. International titles are priced at €5.00, with a small surcharge for online pre-sales and dedicated discounts available. Screenings begin at 9:30 PM, while evenings with guests start at 9:15 PM.

An arena in the heart of Rome

Organized by AGIS Lazio and ANEC Lazio, with the support of Municipio XI Roma Arvalia Portuense, the event is part of the CineVillage circuit, which brings the big screen to the capital's green spaces every summer. Overlooking the Tiber, the Marconi arena offers quality cinema in a cool, evocative setting, easily accessible via the nearby metro station and the river's bike path. A new landmark for the Roman summer in the Lazio region.
