The summer white night in San Giovanni Incarico, featuring music, street performers, and street food
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The "Nessun Dorma" White Night is the most anticipated summer event in San Giovanni Incarico, a village in the province of Frosinone overlooking the Liri Valley in southern Lazio. For one whole evening, the town stays awake: squares fill with music, the streets become a stage for street performers, fire-eaters, and stilt walkers, while food stalls keep visitors fueled until the early hours. It is a widespread festival designed for all ages, where you can wander from one stage to the next, guided by the music and the aromas of street food.
The San Giovanni Incarico White Night began in 2011 and has established itself, edition after edition, as a highlight of the local summer. It is typically held in the first half of August, when many residents who live elsewhere return home for the holidays. The event serves as a grand community reunion as well as a major draw for visitors from neighboring towns in the Ciociaria area.
Starting with the 2025 edition, the event adopted the "Nessun Dorma" (None Shall Sleep) title, a format promoted by the Municipality of San Giovanni Incarico in partnership with the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce, the Informare Special Agency, the Valledellaguardia Consortium, and Confcommercio Lazio Sud. It is part of a broader project aimed at revitalizing small villages through culture, local commerce, and experiential tourism.
The strength of the event lies in its decentralized structure: every square has its own character and program.
Along the festival route, you will find street food and craft stalls offering local culinary specialties, traditional Ciociaria products, and handmade creations. It is the perfect opportunity to sample regional cuisine in an informal atmosphere, between concerts and street performances.
San Giovanni Incarico is a hilltop village of ancient origins, known for its lake โ a reservoir on the Liri River surrounded by greenery โ and its historic center clustered around its squares. The White Night is the best way to discover it: those who come for the music leave with the memory of an authentic Ciociaria town, located halfway between Frosinone and Cassino, that knows how to light up with life in the summer.
The Municipality of San Giovanni Incarico has not yet announced the official date for the 2026 White Night. Based on previous editions โ the last one took place on Saturday, August 2, 2025 โ the event is expected in the first half of August, the period when the village in the province of Frosinone welcomes residents returning for the holidays and visitors to the Liri Valley. Once the program is published, this page will be updated with dates, times, and guest performers.
By car: A1 Rome-Naples motorway, take the Ceprano exit, then follow signs for San Giovanni Incarico along the Liri Valley (about 10 minutes). By train: Rome-Cassino line, get off at the Ceprano-Falvaterra station, then continue by car or taxi.
Admission to the White Night is free; food and drinks at the stalls are available for purchase.
The festival runs from late afternoon until late at night: it is advisable to arrive early to find parking near the center. Wear comfortable shoes for walking between the squares and the narrow streets of the village.
