The festival that opens summer in the centre of Busto Arsizio
The Notte Bianca is the festival that kicks off the summer in Busto Arsizio, in the province of Varese. For one evening, the historic centre transforms into a large, widespread stage: from late afternoon until late at night, music, shows, and entertainment invade squares and pedestrian streets, with shops remaining open for the occasion.
The heart of the festival is live music, spread across the various squares in the centre: from the great hits of the Sixties, Seventies, and Eighties to country rhythms, to the historic voices of Italian radio. Every corner of the city offers a different atmosphere, inviting the public to stroll and discover the various stages.
Alongside the music, the Notte Bianca features a creative market for hobbyists, shows, and activities for families and children. The evening opening of shops and venues completes the experience, making the evening an opportunity for shopping, conviviality, and fun in the heart of the city.
The Notte Bianca marks the beginning of BA Estate, Busto Arsizio's rich programme of summer events that continues throughout the warm season with dinners in the piazza, open-air cinema in the neighbourhoods, and shows. Organised by the Municipality with the Commerce District, it is one of the most anticipated events at the start of the Busto summer, with free admission.
The 2026 Notte Bianca will be held on Saturday, June 13th, from 6:00 PM in the historic centre of Busto Arsizio, officially opening the BA Estate 2026 summer season. The evening features live music in multiple squares: Roberto Ferrari, a historic voice from Radio Deejay, in Piazza San Giovanni with a tribute to the 90s; the Chalteones with country music and dancing in Via Milano; the Ligera Band with hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s in Piazza Santa Maria. The creative market for hobbyists will also be in the city centre. Organised by the Municipality with the Commerce District. Free admission.
The event opens the BA Estate 2026 programme, which continues throughout the season with dinners in the piazza, open-air cinema in the neighbourhoods, and shows.
The festival takes place in the historic centre of Busto Arsizio (VA): Piazza San Giovanni, Via Milano, Piazza Santa Maria, and the pedestrian streets.
Busto Arsizio is served by the FS and Ferrovie Nord stations and the A8 Milan-Varese motorway.
