The evening festival at the Mercato Rionale on via Virgilio Talli, featuring music, crafts, and street food
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the heart of the Nuovo Salario district, just a stone's throw from Fidene and Serpentara, the Mercato Rionale Serpentara II on via Virgilio Talli is more than just a place for residents to shop: once a year, it transforms into a vibrant neighborhood festival. The Notte Bianca at Mercato Serpentara II, promoted by the AGS Serpentara II association, opens the market's doors into the evening, filling the space with lights, music, and people.
The formula is simple and successful: market stalls stay open late into the evening alongside craft exhibitors, while a DJ set brings the square to life with 80s and 90s hits. For the little ones, there is plenty of entertainment, games, and small surprises, while the market's food stands offer delicious bites in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere.
The initiative was born from a specific vision by the AGS Serpentara II association: to showcase local markets not just as commercial spaces, but as hubs of culture, connection, and social life. Serpentara II is one of the few markets in Rome to have embraced this evening opening, with internal dining options and extended hours to bring people back to the stalls outside of traditional shopping times.
The event is held at the Mercato Rionale Serpentara II, on via Virgilio Talli, within Municipio III of Rome (Lazio), in the area north of the city between Nuovo Salario, Serpentara, and Fidene. The area is served by the Nuovo Salario train station and numerous urban bus lines.
The Notte Bianca at Mercato Serpentara II returns to the event calendar of the local market on via Virgilio Talli, Rome. As of the writing of this page, the AGS Serpentara II association has not yet announced the official date for the 2026 edition: as always, the announcement will be made on the market and association's social media channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
Following the success of previous editions, you can expect a free evening with craft stalls, music and DJ sets, children's entertainment, and food stands, with market stalls open late into the night. We will update this page as soon as the 2026 date and program are made public.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition has not yet been published. Based on past editions, the evening will feature craft stalls, 80s and 90s music DJ sets, children's entertainment, and street food, with free admission. The official date and program will be announced by the AGS Serpentara II association and the Mercato Rionale Serpentara II.
The Mercato Rionale Serpentara II is located on via Virgilio Talli, Rome (postal code 00139), in Municipio III. By train, it can be reached from the Nuovo Salario station (FL1 line); by car, it is accessible via via Salaria or via della Serpentara, with parking available on neighboring streets. Numerous bus lines connect the area to the rest of the city.
Admission to the Notte Bianca is free. Market stalls open in the morning, while the evening portion of the festival—featuring music, entertainment, and food stands—runs from late afternoon until midnight.
The event is suitable for families and children. We recommend arriving on foot or by public transport to avoid the parking difficulties typical of busy festival evenings.
