The traveling Marche festival of poetry, philosophy, narrative, music, and women's arts
Non a Voce Sola is one of the most recognizable cultural events in the Marche: a traveling regional festival dedicated to women's thought, which every summer brings poetry, philosophy, narrative, music, and arts events to the squares, theaters, and cloisters of dozens of municipalities in the Marche region. Conceived and directed by Oriana Salvucci, the event is promoted by the Regional Council of the Marche together with the Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities, with the support of municipal administrations and Marche universities.
Among the cities hosting the festival is Grottammare, a pearl of the Riviera delle Palme in the province of Ascoli Piceno. Here, the festival takes place in Piazza Kursaal, overlooking the seafront, with a free admission summer evening. The format is what made Non a Voce Sola famous: a nationally renowned guest โ writer, philosopher, journalist, or scholar โ who dialogues with the public on a current civil issue, often accompanied by readings and musical interludes.
Non a Voce Sola is a true secular pilgrimage through the territory: not a single stage, but a network of events that connect the villages and cities of the coast and the hinterland. Each edition revolves around a fil rouge, a common thread that runs through all the meetings. In recent years, the themes have touched upon changes, secular miracles, Viriditas โ the vital and regenerating force dear to Hildegard of Bingen โ up to reflections on relationships and bonds as essential spaces of existence.
The Grottammare stop is part of the rich summer program of the Municipality of Grottammare, which every year offers music, theater, traditions, and major events on the Piceno coast.
The 2026 edition of Non a Voce Sola is the seventeenth and revolves around the theme "Con-being. Bodies in alliance": an invitation to reflect on relationships as an essential space of human existence and on the need to build bonds, alliances, and forms of civil coexistence in a time marked by fragmentation and conflict.
The preview of the festival was held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Teatro Nuova Fenice in Osimo, with former magistrate Gherardo Colombo and his talk "The long road of rules" dedicated to the Italian Constitution.
The stop in Grottammare is confirmed for July 14, 2026, in Piazza Kursaal, as part of the Municipality's summer program. As tradition dictates, admission is free.
The dates and setting for the 17th edition are confirmed: the preview took place on May 11, 2026, at the Teatro Nuova Fenice in Osimo with Gherardo Colombo, and the Grottammare stop is scheduled for July 14, 2026, in Piazza Kursaal.
The detailed program for the Grottammare evening, including the guest and the title of the talk, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event. The common thread for the entire festival is "Con-being. Bodies in alliance".
