A festival among the volcanic lakes

Few natural stages are as emotionally stirring as the Monticchio Lakes, two bodies of water nestled in the extinct craters of Monte Vulture, in the municipality of Rionero in Vulture. It is here, on the Spiaggia delle Ninfee (Water Lily Beach) of the Lago Grande, that the Ninfea Festival della Rigenerazione comes to life every summer: a widespread event that brings together nature, creativity, and culture.

Music, talks, and science

The Ninfea's program is deliberately multidisciplinary: concerts and DJ sets alternate with talks on sustainable development, book presentations, shows, interactive science workshops, and activities designed for children. In recent editions, the festival has hosted well-known artists and science communicators, from dawn concerts on the lake shores to meetings dedicated to the relationship between humans, the environment, and inland areas. The common thread is always the same: the regeneration, both urban and human, of the inland territories of Basilicata.

Ninfea is a free-admission festival, accessible and pet-friendly, with rest areas, refreshments, and services designed for families and visitors of all ages. Organized by Labirinto Visivo Impresa Sociale with the patronage of the Region of Basilicata and the Municipality of Rionero in Vulture, it has become one of the most beloved cultural events in the Vulture area.
