Nebrodi Ricotta and Provola Festival

The 2025 edition of the Nebrodi Ricotta and Provola Festival brought Maniace, in the province of Catania, to life on May 1st, 3rd, and 4th. The event offered a gastronomic journey enriched by performances, workshops, and in-depth sessions related to the rural culture of the Nebrodi.

The opening on Thursday, May 1st, featured the parade of the 'Leoni Reali' Sicilian Flag-wavers, followed by the inauguration of stalls dedicated to dairy products and local crafts. Throughout the days, traditional Nebrodi ricotta tastings, workshops on fiordilatte mozzarella and aged PDO provola were held, alongside visits to the Museum of the Shepherd and the Farmer, the Nebrodi Nativity Scene, Nelson Castle, and the Angelo Reale art exhibition at the Galeone di Maniace. Numerous activities and entertainment were provided for children.
