The summer youth festival in Santa Venerina, featuring live music, DJ sets, and great company.
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Moviti Femmu is the summer festival that the Santa Venerina Youth Council dedicates to the young people of the town and the entire Etna region. The name, in the Sicilian dialect, is an explicit invitation to get moving, get out of the house, and meet up: an outdoor event that combines live music, DJ sets, a food and drink area, and a great desire to be together. The event takes place in Santa Venerina, a municipality of the Metropolitan City of Catania located on the Ionian side of Mount Etna, between Acireale and Zafferana Etnea.
Moviti Femmu was born as a festival of events dedicated to young people looking for pure entertainment, built around the right blend of good music, drinks, and evocative locations. It is not a classic single concert, but an event-evening where live music moments and DJ sets alternate, with special attention to atmosphere and conviviality. The organization, entrusted to the Youth Council, the body that represents young people in the municipal area, gives the festival an authentic, grassroots feel: it is the local youth themselves who imagine, curate, and animate the event.
The stage for the event is the Parco Princessa Amphitheatre, an outdoor green space that becomes the meeting point of the summer in Santa Venerina. Here, the stage with live music, the DJ console, and the area dedicated to food and drinks, set up in collaboration with local businesses, come to life. The free admission formula makes the evening accessible to everyone and encourages the participation of a broad and diverse audience.
The typical program of Moviti Femmu focuses on music: a live set opens the evening and then gives way to the DJ set that accompanies the audience until late at night. Next to the stage, the food & drink area offers specialties and flavors of the local tradition in an informal and festive context. In the 2025 edition, for example, the evening featured a live performance by Farina00 and a DJ set by Giorgio Privitera, with exclusive gadgets reserved for those who registered in advance.
Moviti Femmu is part of the rich summer calendar of Santa Venerina and represents an important moment of gathering for the new generations, in a municipality that intensely experiences the season of festivals, including food fairs, religious events, and cultural initiatives. For the local youth, it is an opportunity to meet up, dance, and experience a summer night at the foot of Mount Etna, in one of the most characteristic towns in the province of Catania.
For the summer of 2026, the Santa Venerina Youth Council is preparing a new edition of Moviti Femmu, the youth festival that enlivens Parco Princessa with live music, DJ sets, and a food & drink area. At the moment, the dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: traditionally, the event takes place in August. To find out the date, times, and line-up, it is recommended to follow the organization's Facebook and Instagram profiles.
The event is held at the Parco Princessa Amphitheatre in Santa Venerina (CT), in the heart of the eastern Etna region.
By car: Santa Venerina can be reached via the A18 Messina-Catania motorway (Giarre exit) or the SS114; the town is located a few kilometers from Acireale and Zafferana Etnea. By train: the nearest station is Giarre-Riposto, on the Ionian line, from where you can continue by local transport. By plane: the reference airport is Catania-Fontanarossa, about 40 km away.
Admission is generally free; in recent editions, online registration (Eventbrite) was required to receive exclusive gadgets while supplies lasted.
Updates on dates, times, and the program are published on the social media channels of the Santa Venerina Youth Council (Facebook and Instagram).
