On the Colle Vareno plateau, above Angolo Terme in Valle Camonica, Province of Brescia, the Mountain Festival has been the summer event of the "Magg. Timo Bortolotti" Alpini Group for decades. The group, named after the Angolo Terme artist and veteran who left behind works such as the sculpture of Christ the King, celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2025, and it is around these anniversaries that the Mountain Festival represents the most heartfelt gathering moment for the community.
Between faith, conviviality, and music
The event takes place over several days, usually around Ferragosto, and combines the typical elements of Alpine festivals:
- the holy mass, the central moment of the festival
- the gastronomic stand run by the Alpini
- evenings of music and entertainment
