About Montorso Incanta
A widespread literary festival
Montorso Incanta is the literary review with which Montorso Vicentino, a municipality in the Chiampo valley in the province of Vicenza, enlivens the spring. Founded a few years ago, in 2026 it reaches its 5th edition, spread over almost two months of meetings between May and June.
Guests and themes
The festival offers literary evenings with authors, journalists, and witnesses of our time, alternating fiction, current affairs, and civic engagement. The 2026 edition hosts prominent names in Italian journalism and culture: journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, presenter Marco Carrara, priest and writer don Marco Pozza, as well as historian Arturo Marzano who inaugurates the review with "Storia di Gaza" (History of Gaza). There are also events dedicated to students and stories of sport and inclusion.
Venues and accessibility
The meetings take place in three locations in the town: the evocative Villa Da Porto Barbaran, the Civic Library, and the "Achille Beltrame" municipal gym. Organized by the Pro Loco of Montorso Vicentino with the support of the Municipality, the festival is entirely free admission, with the aim of making culture accessible to all generations in this corner of the Vicenza area.

- May 9 — Rai journalist Marco Carrara with "Tanti auguri – 70 anni di TV, 100 anni di radio" (Happy Birthday – 70 Years of TV, 100 Years of Radio)
- May 14 — Paralympic dancer Giada Canino meets students with "Bulldown"
June
- June 10 — Don Marco Pozza with "Il miele e le cipolle" (Honey and Onions)
- June 12 — Local author Candido Lucato presents "Amore e morte" (Love and Death)
- June 28 — Journalist Sigfrido Ranucci closes the festival with "Il ritorno della casta" (The Return of the Caste)

How to get there
Montorso Vicentino is located about 20 km west of Vicenza, in the Chiampo valley. By car: from the A4 motorway, exit at Montecchio Maggiore, then a few kilometers. The venues for the meetings are Villa Da Porto Barbaran, the Civic Library, and the "Achille Beltrame" gym.

All events are free admission. For the updated program, consult the channels of the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Montorso Vicentino.
Period
From the first ten days of May to the end of June, with meetings spread over several weeks.
