About Montello in Philosophy
Philosophy among the Villas and Hills
Montello in Philosophy is the philosophy festival spread across the five municipalities of Montello — Montebelluna, Crocetta del Montello, Giavera del Montello, Nervesa della Battaglia, and Volpago del Montello — in the province of Treviso. Conceived and curated by the La Chiave di Sophia Association, it brings philosophical thought into dialogue with theatre, music, and nature, using the Venetian villas and the historical and landscape sites of Montello as its stage.
Performances, Dialogues, and Walks
The program intertwines various forms of expression: theatrical performances that combine reading, music, and theatre, dialogues on contemporary themes with cultural figures, a philosophical walk immersed in the landscape, and philosophical circles where discussions are accompanied by a glass of local wine.
A Widespread and Free Festival
The events unfold throughout the summer in evocative villas and spaces in the area, from Villa Correr Pisani to Villa Spineda Gasparini Loredan, and Villa Pontello. Admission is free, with reservations recommended: an opportunity for visitors to the Marca Trevigiana to combine the discovery of the territory with a high-quality, slow, and participatory cultural experience.
Montello in Philosophy — edition 2026
The 7th edition of Montello in Philosophy enlivens the five municipalities of Montello, in the province of Treviso, from June 10 to August 7, 2026. The widespread festival, curated by the La Chiave di Sophia Association, offers theatrical performances, contemporary dialogues, a philosophical walk, and discussion groups accompanied by wine, hosted in the Venetian villas and the most evocative locations in the area.
Admission is free with recommended booking via Eventbrite.
