Art meets people: the centre of Montebelluna becomes an open-air museum
Visioni Urbane – Art meets people is the distributed art exhibition that enlivens the historic centre of Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso. Founded in 2021 and organised by the Municipality of Montebelluna with the Association Il Mosaico – Un Centro da Vivere, it explores the encounter between artistic languages and the urban fabric, transforming streets, squares, and open spaces into an open-air museum.
Each edition scatters artworks throughout the centre—sculptures, installations, urban art interventions—placed in symbolic points of the city, where they interact with the architecture and with those who pass by every day. The open-air exhibitions invite a free stroll through the streets, accessible to everyone and integrated into daily city life.
The exhibition showcases local artists and contemporary languages, alternating protagonists and themes from year to year. For visitors to Montebelluna and the Marca Trevigiana region, Visioni Urbane is an opportunity to discover the city centre in a different light, where art becomes an integral part of public space and the city experience, at the foot of Montello.
The 3rd edition of Visioni Urbane enlivens the historic centre of Montebelluna from July 30 to October 15, 2026, with six artists and sixteen exhibition venues spread across streets and squares. The exhibition, organised by the Municipality of Montebelluna with the Association Il Mosaico, confirms the open-air museum concept, with open-air exhibitions integrated into the urban fabric.
The presentation of the artists is scheduled for July 28 at 8:15 PM in the Town Hall; the inauguration of the exhibition route is on July 30.
The map of artworks and artists will be published by the Municipality of Montebelluna on the occasion of the inauguration.
