Art meets people: Montebelluna's centre becomes an open-air museum
Visioni Urbane โ Art Meets People is the distributed art exhibition that enlivens the historic centre of Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso. Established in 2021 and organised by the Municipality of Montebelluna with the Il Mosaico Association โ A Centre to Live, it explores the encounter between artistic languages and the urban fabric, transforming streets, squares, and open spaces into an open-air museum.
Each edition features artworks โ sculptures, installations, urban art interventions โ placed in symbolic locations within the city, where they interact with the architecture and with those who pass by daily. The open-air exhibitions invite a free exploration of the streets, accessible to everyone and integrated into daily city life.
The exhibition highlights local artists and contemporary styles, alternating protagonists and themes from year to year. For visitors to Montebelluna and the Marca Trevigiana region, Visioni Urbane offers an opportunity to discover the city centre in a different light, where art becomes an integral part of public space and the city experience, at the foot of Montello.
The 3rd edition of Visioni Urbane enlivens the historic centre of Montebelluna from July 30 to October 15, 2026, with six artists and sixteen exhibition venues spread across streets and squares. The event, organised by the Municipality of Montebelluna with the Il Mosaico Association, reaffirms the open-air museum concept, with exhibitions integrated into the urban fabric.
The artists' presentation is scheduled for July 28 at 8:15 PM in the Town Hall; the inauguration of the exhibition route is on July 30.
The map of artworks and artists will be published by the Municipality of Montebelluna on the occasion of the inauguration.
