About Modena Rally

The Rally Città di Modena is the most anticipated car race in the Modena area: two days of special stages on the Apennine roads, with start and finish in the iconic space in front of the Ferrari Museum in Maranello. A historic event, valid for the Coppa Rally di Zona and the Trofeo Rally di Zona reserved for historic cars, which attracts over a hundred crews and thousands of fans along the timed sections. Free admission for the public.

The Rally Città di Modena

The Rally Città di Modena is one of the most established motorsport events in Emilia-Romagna. Organized by Rally Team New Turbomark with the patronage of the Automobile Club Modena, it brings hundreds of crews to the hilly roads of the Modena Apennines every spring, in a setting that combines passion for engines with the charm of the Emilia region's Motor Valley. The headquarters and the scenic heart of the event are located in Maranello (Province of Modena), in the area in front of the Ferrari Museum, from where the start ceremonies take place and where the final awards are presented.

A Double Challenge: Modern and Historic

The peculiarity of the Rally Città di Modena is its dual nature. Alongside the race for modern cars, valid for the Coppa Rally di Zona, the Historic Città di Modena runs, reserved for vintage rally cars and valid for the Trofeo Rally di Zona. This format allows the public to admire both modern Rally2 and Skoda Fabia RS cars and the historic models that have made the history of Italian rallying in a single event.

Special Stages in the Apennines

The competition unfolds along a route that crosses the municipalities of the Modena hinterland, with timed sections repeated several times. Among the historic special stages of the race are "Barighelli", "Lavacchio", and "Valle", true tests for drivers and co-drivers. The shakedown, a period for running in and fine-tuning the cars, traditionally takes place in the Serramazzoni area.

Maranello and the Motor Valley

Holding the rally with a start from the Ferrari Museum is no coincidence: Maranello is the global symbol of Italian motorsport, and the entire Province of Modena represents the heart of the so-called Emilia Motor Valley. The event celebrates this deep connection between the territory and engines, transforming the Apennine roads into a grand sporting stage for a weekend.

For the Public

Admission is free: fans can watch the special stages along the route and follow the start and finish ceremonies in Maranello free of charge. An event that attracts spectators from all over Emilia-Romagna and neighboring regions every year.
