Theatre, music, and comedy under the stars at the Miralfiore Park Amphitheatre in Pesaro
Every summer, the Miralfiore Park Amphitheatre in Pesaro transforms into an open-air stage for Miralteatro d'Estate, the theatre, music, and comedy festival organised by the Municipality of Pesaro together with AMAT (Marchigiana Association of Theatre Activities), with the collaboration of the Coro Filarmonico Rossini, Marche Musica, and Teatro Accademia. The evenings, all starting at 9:15 PM, bring a programme to the city park that mixes major national performers, concerts, monologues, satire, and new musical proposals.
The Miralteatro d'Estate programme alternates well-known names from Italian theatre and cinema with musical projects, comedy shows, and moments of classical music. Over the years, the Miralfiore Park Amphitheatre has hosted actors, singer-songwriters, ensembles, and companies ranging from civil monologues to authorial songs, from symphonic concerts to stand-up comedy. The festival also dedicates an important space to the local area with Un palco nel parco (A stage in the park), a section for amateur theatre from the Marche region curated by FITA Marche and Teatro Accademia, often featuring performances in dialect.
Parco Miralfiore is the main green lung of Pesaro, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region. Its open-air amphitheatre offers seating immersed in greenery, a short distance from the historic centre, ideal for enjoying shows on summer evenings. Entry to the park for the shows is from via Respighi. The festival's formula combines the quality of the artistic offering with the informal and relaxed atmosphere of an urban park, making Miralteatro d'Estate one of the most beloved events of the Pesaro summer.
Launched in the early 2020s, the festival has become a cornerstone of Pesaro's summer cultural programming over the years, alongside the city's other major events such as the Rossini Opera Festival. With affordable ticket prices and an accessible format for everyone, Miralteatro d'Estate aims to bring quality theatre and music to a public, open-air space, close to the citizens and tourists who visit the city during the summer season.
The seventh edition of Miralteatro d'Estate takes place from July 15 to August 9, 2026 at the Miralfiore Park Amphitheatre in Pesaro, with twelve evenings of performances alongside the Un palco nel parco section for amateur theatre. The festival is organised by the Municipality of Pesaro and AMAT with the Coro Filarmonico Rossini, Marche Musica, and Teatro Accademia. All shows start at 9:15 PM.
The programme features major names from Italian theatre, cinema, and music, from satire to concerts, from musicals to singer-songwriters.
