Minerbio Children's Carnival

A Carnival Festival Dedicated to Children

The Minerbio Children's Carnival is one of the most beloved events of spring in the Municipality of Minerbio, in the province of Bologna, in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna plain. For two consecutive Sundays, the historic center transforms into a large open-air stage, where families, children, and curious onlookers gather to celebrate Carnival with joy and popular tradition.

Floats and Masked Parades

The heart of the event is the parade of floats that winds through Via Garibaldi and the streets of the historic center. The floats, built with passion by local carnival groups, advance through the crowd accompanied by colorful masks and a festive atmosphere. The most anticipated moment remains the famous throwing of sweets and toys from the floats, which triggers the joyful rush of children along the entire route.

Entertainment and Fun for Families

In addition to the parades, the program offers many activities designed for children: face painting, entertainment, mascots, and live music that accompanies the entire afternoon. In recent editions, entertainers and DJs such as Ivo Morini, Dj Cuccurullo of Radio Bruno, Matteo Dj, Peter Live Music, and other guests have taken turns, providing a soundtrack that engages both adults and children.

Taste and Tradition: The Food Stall

No carnival is complete without the food stall offering traditional crescentine, a typical specialty of Bolognese cuisine, perfect to enjoy during the festive afternoon. It's an opportunity to savor an iconic local product in a convivial and family-friendly setting.

A Community Event

The Children's Carnival is organized by the Associazione Carnevalesca Quî dal Cranvèl Odv, with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Minerbio. The event, with free admission, represents a moment of community that renews the bond between the town and its carnival tradition every year. In case of bad weather, the event is postponed to the following Sunday.
